Welcome to the Art Academy at LinaXandria — a place to grow your creativity and imagination.
Here, you can explore a wide range of artistic paths, guided by some of the most inspiring painting and drawing teachers I’ve discovered.
Art, Science, Engineering, and Mathematics are far more connected than people think. They constantly influence one another, sparking new ideas and expanding what’s possible.
A great place to begin is with graphite drawing and ink exercises. Strengthen your sense of perspective, learn to build atmosphere, and, if you feel drawn to it, dive into the calming worlds of zentangle and mandala art.
Some people claim you must choose between Art and Engineering — that you can only be one or the other. That’s simply not true. You’re free to follow any path you want. Art gives us the power to visualize, imagine, and explore possibilities, which in turn fuels innovation in science and engineering.
If you want to go further, soft pastels and oil pastels are wonderful mediums for working with rich pigments and expressive color. Whether you prefer pencils or sticks, combined with unique papers, these tools are especially rewarding for portraits and landscapes.
As your journey continues, you may feel inspired to explore oil painting — the medium of the old masters, still cherished today for its depth and beauty.
From here, you can branch out in any direction: classical, modern, experimental, or anything in between.
When you’re ready for something more challenging, try the fascinating world of watercolor (aquarelle). This water‑soluble medium uses transparent pigments and avoids white paint entirely. It’s complex, subtle, and incredibly portable — perfect for creating art on the go.
After that, you might explore gouache, a close relative of watercolor but with opaque pigments and the ability to be reactivated after drying. It offers a completely different feel and opens up new creative possibilities.
One of the most advanced and demanding art forms, at least for me, is airbrush illustration. It takes patience, precision, and a lot of practice, but the results can be extraordinary.
Of course, this overview doesn’t yet include music, digital art, ceramics, woodwork, or other 3D art forms. They’re equally valuable and inspiring, and I hope to expand into those areas when time allows.
Every art form has its own levels of complexity, and each can be explored deeply — from beginner to professional.
This is simply a starting point for anyone who wants to step into the world of art, guided by some of the finest teachers available.
Good luck on your own artistic journey — may it be full of discovery and joy.
